Ingredients:
- 2 slices Whole wheat or gluten-free bread
- Vegan butter, for grilling
- Shredded vegan mozzarella cheese
- Black olives, for decor
- Cut a ghost shape out of one slice of bread. Cut one side of the full slide and just one side of the slice with the cutout ghost in the center (the edges around the ghost). Save the cut-out ghost for the below recipe.
- For the full slice of bread with no cutout, place butter-side down on skillet over medium heat. Do the same with the slice of bread with the ghost cutout in the middle. You will end up putting these two slices together in a moment.
- Spread mozzarella cheese overtop only the full slice of bread in one even layer as the other side of the slice sears.
- Place the leftover bread (with the ghost cutout in the middle) overtop the full slice of bread with no cutout. Make sure the butter side/seared side is facing up. Allow the grilled cheese ghost sandwich to continue to cook another minute or two to allow the cheese to melt into the top slice and help hold the sandwich together. Take the grilled cheese off the burner and decorate with black olive slices to make a ghost face if desired.
- For the actual ghost cutout, you can save this for the recipe below. Or, you can spread the mozzarella cheese over top of the ghost cut out too. You can place this piece in a toaster oven at 400°F to cook it and melt the cheese until golden brown. Then decorate it with black olives for the ghost face too.

Easy Avocado Recipes
All you avo wanted!
Smash ’em, fry ’em, slice ’em, dice ’em … no matter how you eat ’em, avocados are a favorite for good reasons! Aside from being extra creamy and delicious, avocados are packed with good-for-you nutrients too!- Contains more potassium than a banana
- More fiber in a single serving than any other fruit (Yes, it’s a fruit!)
- High in antioxidants and vitamins C, E and K
- May support healthy cholesterol levels due to its heart-healthy fat content
How to pick ’em:
Judging by the color alone won’t be much help here … you gotta feel them out! Avocados are ready to eat when they yield to slight pressure, so go ahead and give them a gentle squeeze to ensure they’re good to go! When squeezed, they shouldn’t be too firm or too soft … they should be just right!Pro tips: Be sure to pick avocados with their tiny wooden knot still attached to the top, as this will ensure that the avocado hasn’t oxidized on the inside yet. If you bring home an avocado that’s not quite ripe, place it in a paper bag to speed up the process. Or, if they’re getting too ripe before you’re ready to use, place them in the refrigerator to preserve!

Avocados From Mexico™
Creamy, delicious avocados have been imported for U.S. consumption since 1997! Since then, their popularity has swept the nation for everyone to enjoy, whether it’s in guacamole for the big game, or smashed for heart-healthy avocado toast. When you pick up a Hass avocado from the Avocados From Mexico brand, you can enjoy it with confidence knowing they’re always fresh and always in season, 365 days a year. The warm, coastal climate and rich Michoacán soil nourishes over 30,000 avocado orchards each year, supplying over 1.7 billion pounds of avocados!Growing a perfect avocado
Avocado growers in Mexico have perfected their technique over the years. They take the best of both worlds from the avocado tree, the branches and the roots, and combine them to craft their very own, hand-made plant to grow a delicious Hass avocado. Each new tree takes about three to five years to produce fruit, but they are more than worth the wait! Once they’re ready to be picked, avocados are harvested with a pole and carefully inspected from the shine of their skin to the texture and color, ensuring only the best arrive at your table.Get your guac on with these fresh recipes!

Stone Fruit

Stone Fruit
Summer’s sweetest stone fruits are ripe for the pickin’ at your neighborhood Sprouts! What makes a stone fruit unique? It has a single large seed or pit, typically found at the heart and center of the fruit. This season, you’ll find a unique variety of stone fruits in-store, like tree-ripened, juicy peaches and nectarines and plump cherries. What makes us different is that we have specialty varieties like plumcots, apriums, verry cherry plums and more.
Here are some of the unique varieties to keep an eye out for:

Pick a perfect fruit
Tip 1: Not quite ripe yet?
Place your stone fruit in a paper bag, out of direct sunlight at room temperature. Check daily for perfect ripeness.Tip 2: Extend Freshness
When your stone fruit is ripe, store in a plastic bag in the crisper drawer of your refrigerator. This will preserve freshness for an extra three to five days.Tip 3: Whoops, too ripe …
Don’t toss your stone fruit yet! Roughly chop up the fruit, toss in a saucepan with a little water, a touch of sugar and dash of cinnamon. Cook down until fruit is soft and syrupy for a delicious fruit compote to top ice cream, waffles, pancakes, yogurt and more.Meet the Growers!
