What happens if an item I order is out of stock?


Although we do our best to provide the most up-to-date information in our product catalog, we can’t always guarantee that an item will be in stock. You will be offered the option to replace or refund out of stock items via SMS while your shopper is shopping your order. By default, items added to your cart will be replaced with best-matched products, but you may disable substitutions while checking out.

How do I view the status of my order?


Updates will be shared via SMS to the mobile phone number associated with your account throughout your order. You can also click “Your Orders” from your Sprouts account to view the status of an order you’ve already placed.

How do I make changes to an existing order?


Prior to your order being shopped for, you can add or edit items within the order page by clicking the “Modify Order” button. To access your order, visit “Your Orders” from your Sprouts account. If the shopper has started shopping, you can contact them via SMS to make adjustments. Please note, if you make changes before the shopper has started shopping, your time slot may change.

How quickly can you deliver?


You can choose to have it delivered as quickly as an hour. You can also schedule your delivery up to 6 days in advance.

Who does the shopping?


Instacart Personal Shoppers fulfill your orders from your local Sprouts. Your Personal Shopper will pick the best produce, carefully select all your items, and handle any items that are out of stock. If an item you order is out of stock, your Personal Shopper will make an appropriate replacement and contact you to verify it.

Can I order alcohol?


In markets that we are allowed by law, you can order beer & wine for delivery or pickup. You will not be able to make special requests or replacements for alcohol items. You must confirm that you are 21 or older by entering your birthdate at checkout. When the order is delivered, a recipient 21 or older must be present to sign for the delivery and show proof of legal age with a valid photo ID. No orders containing alcohol will be delivered to any visibly intoxicated persons. No alcohol will be left unattended.

Do you offer a membership and how does it work?


Instacart+ is a yearly subscription service that provides Sprouts customers with free delivery and pickup on all orders over $35 made through shop.sprouts.com. Sprouts customers will also get the same benefit on Instacart.com.

How much does an Instacart+ membership cost?


New Instacart+ members are offered a two-week free trial. Afterward, the membership is billed $99 (pre-tax) annually. Instacart+ memberships are not refundable but may be canceled at any time. To cancel your membership, please visit shop.sprouts.com, click on your profile page then select the “Cancel Membership” button.
