600+ Volunteers Unite to Build 24 School Gardens
Sprouts is on a mission to help kids grow healthy by helping schools implement gardening and cooking programs that bring nutrition education to life for students. To jumpstart garden-based education for 12,000 students this fall, the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation built 24 outdoor learning spaces, with help from a team of 600+ volunteers.

Thank You to All Our Volunteers!
With help from Sprouts customers, over 3,000 school nominations were received, and 24 schools were selected for a new or refreshed learning garden. All in, Sprouts invested $500,000 in grants to support the creation of outdoor garden spaces, plus funding for educational programming to take place this school year.
More than 600 Sprouts team members, parents and volunteers came together to help build these gardens, donating 2,400 service hours.
Congratulations to our 24 School Garden Recipients!
